I live in Bressanone, South Tyrol, Italy. A small city in a narrow valley, founded in 901 A.D. and where the influence of the Catholic Church has been pretty high in the last centuries.
In the center of the city, there is – guess what – a couple of churches: a small chapel, another church, the parish church and the cathedral. There’s also a beautifully painted cloister. The frescos depict various scenes from the Bible and some other stories.
Among those paintings, there is a peculiar elephant. There was just a problem when this painting was made: no one ever saw an elephant before. This is why this elephant resembles more a horse with a trunk than an elephant.
Did you ever see peculiar paintings (or animals) around the world? Tell me in the comments below, I can’t wait to discover more!
